Simple Present Tense
Simple present tense ialah bentuk kalimat yang lazim digunakan untuk menyatakan sebuah acara yang terjadi di masa sekarang. Pola atau rumus untuk simple present tense jikalau dibagi menurut golongan subjeknya yaitu selaku berikut :
A. Untuk I , We , They , You.
Kalimat Positif (+) :
S + V1 + object complement
Example :
- I draw a map to my father
- We play footbal in the soccer field
- They do homework together
- You need this pencil to finish your poem
Kalimat negatif (-) :
S + do + not + V1 + object complement
Example :
- I do not draw a map to my father
- We do not play football in the soccer field
- They do not do homework together
- You do not need this pencil to finish your poem.
Kalimat tanya (?) :
Do + S + V1 + object complement ?
Example :
- Do I draw a map to my father ?
- Do we play footbal in the soccer field ?
- Do they do homework together ?
- Do you need this pencil to finish your poem ?
B. Untuk He , She , It.
Kalimat positif (+) :
S + V1 + s/es + object complement
Example :
- He loves his mother so much
- She goes to hospital by bus
- It arrives from Jakarta this morning.
Kalimat negatif (-) :
S + does + not + V1 + object complement
Example :
- He does not love his mother so much
- She does not go to hospital by bus
- It does not arrive from Jakarta this morning.
Kalimat tanya (?) :
Does + S + V1 + object complement ?
Example :
- Does he love his mother so much ?
- Does she go to hospital by bus ?
- Does it arrive from Jakarta this morning ?
