Simple Past tense
Simple Past tense ialah bentuk kalimat yang lazim digunakan untuk menyatakan acara di masa lampau. Simple past tense ditandai dengan kata kerja bentuk kedua , auxilary verb (did) , dan pemberitahuan waktu seumpama yesterday , last night , dan lain sebagainya. Rumus atau referensi dari simple past tense yakni selaku berikut :

Kalimat positif (+) :
S + V2 + object complement
Example :
- I went to Bali last week
- We played the game yesterday
- They did their homework together
- You used my pencil last night
- He studied hard last year
- She listened to the music two days ago.
Kalimat negatif (-) :
S + did + not + V1 + object complement
Example :
- I did not go to Bali last week
- We did not play the game yesterday
- They did not do their homework together
- You did not use my pencil last night
- He did not study hard last year
- She did not listen to the music two days ago.
Kalimat tanya (?) :
Did + S + V1 + object complement ?
Example :
- Did I go to Bali last week ?
- Did we play the game yesterday ?
- Did they do their homework together ?
- Did you use my pencil last night ?
- Did he study hard last year ?
- Did she listen to the music two days ago ?
